An opportunity has arisen to work in the Older People and Physical Disabilities Commissioning Team, supporting various projects while working towards a Level 6 degree in Chartered Management. Our team is part of the Council’s Health and Care Directorate, focusing on ensuring a sustainable care market that supports individuals in managing their care needs. We seek someone driven by innovation through creativity and curiosity, with a genuine desire for co-creation. As an apprentice, you will support projects and collaborate with the Council's key partners and providers. This is a fixed-term 3-year apprenticeship starting September 2025, working towards a Level 6 degree in Chartered Management.
Main Responsibilities
* Support Commissioning Officers, Managers, and Senior Managers in planning, delivering, and monitoring commissioning projects to improve outcomes for Staffordshire residents.
* Be flexible across all care services and the people we serve.
* Assist in designing and managing projects to achieve key outcomes.
* Research, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to inform activities.
* Develop reports and presentations for different audiences.
* Organize and manage engagement and co-production events to support commissioning priorities.
* Maintain data quality, including budget management and data intelligence to inform commissioning.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
* Diploma Level 3 qualification and willingness to complete a Level 6 Apprenticeship.
* Level 2 Maths (GCSE, Functional Skills, or equivalent).
* Ability to build effective relationships with partners, stakeholders, the care sector, and those with lived experience.
* Experience with advanced MS Excel functions for analysis and a working knowledge of adult social care.
* Effective communication, negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
* Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Sound IT skills and adaptability to new systems.
