Contract: 35 hours per week plus sleep-in shifts
Salary: Base salary of £23,277.80, with the potential to earn up to £28,893.80 per annum with sleep-in shifts

Are you a committed and enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? LCS is on the lookout for passionate Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our team! You’ll work full-time (35 hours plus 2 sleep-ins per week) with the opportunity to take on additional hours.
As part of our team, you’ll work on a rota basis, which may include evenings and weekends. Flexibility in your availability is essential!

Your Role
As a Support Worker, you will engage, motivate, and encourage young people in their individual flats or shared houses. Your responsibility is to ensure that the home environment is safe, welcoming, and healthy for the young people we support.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Provide practical support and guidance to young people according to their individual care plans, helping them develop essential life skills and achieve educational goals.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with young people, staff, and professionals through effective communication.
* Support young people in Education, Employment, and Training, documenting their progress and submitting evidence to relevant instructors.
* Foster community connections, such as educational provisions, sports centers, and youth clubs.
What We’re Looking For
All applicants must have:
* Flexibility in availability for shift work, including sleep-in nights, evenings, and weekends.
* A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
* Experience working with attachment and trauma (desirable).
* Experience with challenging behavior and/or mental health issues (desirable).
* An understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
* A full driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable), though good public transport links are available.
* Intermediate computer skills.
