JobSummary
The ElectricalFieldServiceEngineer willberesponsibleforinstalling,servicing,andmaintaininglasersystemsatcustomersitesacrosstheregion.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhaveexcellenttechnicalknowledge,problem-solvingskills,andaproactiveattitudetocustomersupport.
KeyResponsibilities
Installation&Commissioning:
Carryoutelectricalinstallationsandcommissioningoflasersystemsatcustomersites.
Ensurecompliancewithelectricalstandardsandallrelevanthealth&safetyprocedures.
Maintenance&Repairs:
Conductplannedpreventativemaintenance(PPM)onsystemsandequipment.
Diagnoseandrepairelectricalfaults,includingcontrolpanels,PLCs,anddrives.
Replaceorrepairfaultywiring,components,andassemblies.
CustomerSupport&Training:
Delivertechnicaltrainingandsupporttocustomersonsystemoperation.
Providecleartechnicaladviceandensurecustomersatisfaction.
Resolveserviceissuespromptlyandprofessionally.
Documentation&Reporting:
Completeaccurateservicereportsdetailingworkcarriedoutandanyfollow-uprequired.
Maintainservicelogsanddocumentationforeachcustomervisit.
Travel&Flexibility:
Travelacrosstheregion(withoccasionalUKorinternationaltrips).
Provideon-callorout-of-hourssupportwhenrequired.
Qualifications&Skills
Essential:
Recognisedqualificationin ElectricalorElectronicEngineering (NVQ,City&Guilds,HND,orequivalent).
Provenexperiencein electricalfaultdiagnosisandrepair .
Strongunderstandingof AC/DCcircuits,motors,drives,PLCs,andcontrolsystems .
Competentwith electricaltestingequipment (multimeters,oscilloscopes,insulationtesters).
Valid UKdrivinglicence andwillingnesstotraveltocustomersites.
Excellentcommunicationandcustomerserviceskills.
Desirable:
Previousexperiencewith lasersystems, CNC ,or industrialmachinery .
Knowledgeof controlsystems (Siemens,AllenBradley,etc.).
Familiaritywith 18thEditionWiringRegulations(BS7671) .
Backgroundina fieldserviceorcustomer-facingtechnicalrole .
