As Accounts Payable Manager, you will lead a team of nine delivering end-to-end processing for c.£300m spend each year across 8,000 suppliers and 8,000 staff. You’ll be accountable for ensuring efficient, accurate and compliant invoice, expense, utilities, and credit processing at scale while driving up service quality, performance, and value for money.
This role isn’t only about running a smooth operation today. You will be instrumental in shaping the future, leading change, leveraging automation, designing controls that protect the University, and preparing AP for our new ERP system. You’ll influence system design, strengthen data and insight, and build a modern, customer-centric finance service.

1. Degree-level education (or equivalent professional experience), with significant experience leading an AP or Financial Transactions team.
2. Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
3. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to automation, systems optimisation and digital innovation.
