Patient Services Assistant
Phoenix Health was established in 2012 by Professor David Kerrigan, former president of the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS). We are a highly specialised provider of weight loss (bariatric) surgery for NHS and private patients.
Our dedicated team is committed to delivering the highest standards of bariatric surgery and post-operative aftercare with our patients' best interests at heart.
Person Specification:
As first point of contact for our patients, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong organisational and time management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential. You must have a professional, compassionate and patient-focused approach.
You will be confident using IT systems including patient record systems and Microsoft Office with a proactive, flexible and reliable attitude
You will be joining our small patient service team who work extremely well together and it's essential that you are a good team player, being respectful and mindful of your colleagues.
Job description
Administrative:
* Answering incoming calls from patients
* Making appointments
* Scanning / photocopying / uploading documents
* General filing
* Sending electronic e-mails to patients and health professionals
* Uploading Blood results and updating blood tracker
* Logging incoming calls on clinical query log
* Franking mail
Sales:
* Dealing with new enquiries (telephone /website/social media)
* Completing sales tracker with all information required
* Arranging appointments for patients
* Liaising with medical staff
* Taking payments and informing finance.
* Tracking / answering social media enquiries
Essential:
* Must be reliable and punctual
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent telephone manner
* Ensure patient confidentiality
* Driver / own transport
Desirable:
* Knowledge or medical terminology
* Previous experience in healthcare or clinical administration
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (08:30 – 16:30)
Ample free parking available.
Office based only - working from home not possible for this role
This is a very busy and demanding role, attention to detail and accuracy is and you must be able to work under pressure.
