We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to support the maintenance, repair and safe operation of plant and equipment at a site in Kings Lynn. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you’ll carry out electrical maintenance, inspections and fault-finding to ensure all equipment remainspliant, reliable and efficient.
Your new role
On joining the team, you will carry out day-to-day maintenance and reactive maintenance where required,
1. Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on port equipment such as cranes, forklifts, loaders and conveyors.
2. Help with electrical installations and estate-wide electrical works.
3. Find faults and safely get equipment back up and running.
4. Work safely at all times and take part in risk assessments and toolbox talks.
5. Work closely with the Engineering team, contractors and operational staff.
What you'll need to succeed
6. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
7. Time‑served electrician.
8. Experience working on industrial or heavy‑plant equipment.
9. 17th or 18th Edition qualified.
10. Good understanding of Health & Safety.
11. Strong teamwork andmunication skills.
12. Confident using basic IT (Word, Excel, Outlook).
13. Full UK driving licence.
14. Good fault‑finding skills and a methodical approach.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 from Monday to Thursday and 08:00–15:30 on Fridays and a standby rota in place where call‑out hours are paid as overtime.
