Initial strategies focus on global private markets, including debt and equity investments in emerging markets. Future strategies will expand across additional regions, sectors and impact themes.
In parallel, the organisation is building a broader ecosystem for impact investing through a global network of institutional investors, co-investment partners and fund managers. The firm also provides technical assistance designed to support the development and scaling of impact-focused investment strategies.
The organisation is ready for the launch of its financial products within a regulated framework and is currently in a growth phase as it builds the operational and investment infrastructure required to support its strategy.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The organisation is seeking a Head of Operations or Chief Operating Officer to lead operational development and support the scaling of its investment platform. The COO will play a key role in building and managing the firm’s operational infrastructure, supporting the launch of investment products, and ensuring the organisation operates effectively within a regulated environment.
The role will involve overseeing day-to-day operations, developing policies and processes, managing organisational growth, co-ordination with service providers and helping establish international operational capabilities as the platform expands.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations and Strategic Execution
• Implement strategic initiatives and operational plans aligned with the organisation’s long-term objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day operational management across the business.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
Financial and Resource Management
• Work closely with the CEO and finance function on budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Ensure efficient allocation of resources and cost management.
Middle Office & Team
• Lead and manage a high-performing fully integrated Middle Office.
• Support recruitment, professional development and organisational culture.
Stakeholder and Partner Engagement
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including investors, partners and service providers.
• Support negotiations and collaboration with strategic partners.
Risk, Compliance and Governance
• Establish and maintain risk management frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and legal requirements
• Develop contingency and crisis management procedures where appropriate.
Innovation and Impact Integration
• Support the development of systems to measure and report impact outcomes.
• Encourage innovation in operational processes and technology to improve efficiency and scalability.
Growth and Market Expansion
• Assess opportunities for geographic or strategic expansion.
• Support the establishment of new offices or operational capabilities where required.
REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience in a senior operational role such as Head of Operations, COO, or similar leadership position within financial services or investment management.
• Strong understanding of operational frameworks within investment organisations, including governance, risk management and regulatory considerations.
• Experience in setting up fund structures, with Luxembourg and securitisation experience being highly beneficial.
• Experience in Emerging Markets and Private Credit is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related discipline. An Masters, MBA or other advanced qualification would be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage teams and organisational processes in a growing business.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of cross-border operational and regulatory considerations.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with standard business and productivity software, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience and proficiency with Artificial Intelligence and it’s use in operations functions is highly beneficial.
LOCATION AND WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
The position is full-time and operates on a hybrid basis, with regular presence required in Guildford, Surrey (typically two days per week). Flexible working arrangements may be considered.
