Wirral Hospice St John's provides FREE care for adult patients with life-limiting illnesses. We also support carers and loved ones; families are at the heart of everything we do. Although some NHS funding is received, the majority of our income is donated by individuals, families, groups, companies and charitable trusts. Every penny counts and helps us to make a real difference to the specialist care and support we provide for our patients and their loved ones. Wirral Hospice’s retail operations contribute hundreds of thousands of pounds towards our hospice care and support services. We have ambitious plans to grow our retail fundraising activities over the coming years. We are looking to recruit two Shop Managers to support our growing portfolio of profitable charity shops. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, team-working and customer care skills, and be able to demonstrate a track record of managing a retail outlet to generate increased income levels and profit return. Work closely with senior colleagues, contribute to the strategic development of our shops and retail services, ensuring excellent public relations, customer service and a high standard of shop presentation and display. Retail experience does not necessarily need to have been obtained from the charity sector. Training will be undertaken. Locations are Bebington & Heswall. Flexibility, responsibility and professionalism are key.
