We are looking for an experienced and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work closely with children across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 who require additional support. You will play a vital role in helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to thrive.
The Role
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND needs including Autism/ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, and SEMH needs
Support children within the classroom, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
Assist with emotional regulation, social interaction, and positive behaviour strategies
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
Foster a nurturing, positive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience working with children with SEND in a school setting
Understanding of or interest in speech and language strategies, sensory needs, or emotional regulation approaches
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
A calm, adaptable, and empathetic approach to supporting children
