About the Role
Hays Education is recruiting Qualified Drama Teachers (QTS) to work on a supply basis across a range of secondary schools in Bristol. We are looking for confident, creative practitioners who can inspire students in Drama and Performing Arts, delivering lessons that encourage collaboration,munication and expressive skills.

What you'll be doing Your new role
As a Drama Supply Teacher, you will:
4. Deliver Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
5. Support students in developing performance, devising and script‑work skills
6. Maintain a positive, safe and engaging classroom environment
7. Follow departmental schemes of work and school policies
8. Promote creativity, confidence and teamwork
9. Adapt quickly to different settings, departments and performance spaces
Long‑term placements may also involve rehearsals, assessments, marking and contribution to extracurricular activities (where applicable).
What you'll need to succeed
10. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
11. Strong subject knowledge in Drama and Performing Arts
12. Experience teaching in a UK secondary school (ECT experience accepted)
13. Excellent behaviour management and an energetic, creative approach
14. The right to work in the UK
15. An Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one
16. Reliability, flexibility and confidence leading practical group work
17. ECTs are very wee to apply
