Social Care Business Support Officer - Aylesbury

We have a rewarding opportunity for a full time Business Support Officer to join our service and work in our friendly, supportive mental health social care service.
The social care service is based at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury. This is a modern purpose-built resource centre for people with mental illness, offering both inpatient, community and outpatient facilities.
You will have contact with and play an important role building relationships with with service users, relatives, other members of the public and professionals from partner organisations. Helping the service to run efficiently in a busy and sometimes demanding environment will also be a key part of your role.
Main duties of the job
* Plan, organise and deliver own work to provide effective information and business support, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards
* Provide the main point of contact for a senior member of staff or team, acting as a filter for issues and an escalation point for non-routine matters
* Identify information sources and efficiently collate and organise data for inclusion in reports, documents, and recommendations
* Process, analyse and interpret specialist information using appropriate systems, prioritising trends and issues to support management decision-making
* Create documents, reports, correspondence and other materials as required, ensuring accuracy and quality

Person Specification
Qualifications
* High level knowledge of Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel/ PowerPoint
* Recognised secretarial qualification (RSA level 2) or equivalent
Experience
* Admin or secretarial experience
* Experience of working with confidential documents
* Administration or secretarial experience in an NHS setting
Personal Qualities
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and use own initiative
* Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
* Ability to calmly and sensitively respond to distressed callers and stressful situations.
* Previous experience of IT systems such as LAS and Rio
