Job Summary

The Business Systems & Automation Specialist will work closely with the Systems Developer to support, enhance and evolve the company's internal systems and processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems using technology and wants to develop practical skills across Microsoft 365, Business Central, automation tools and data-driven solutions.

This position focuses on using existing platforms to improve efficiency, data accuracy, transparency and decision-making across all areas of the business

Key Duties:

Business Systems & Data Management

Maintain, review and improve data integrity within Microsoft Business Central.

Monitor and manage price structures and pricing logic, identifying anomalies and resolving issues.

Support annual price reviews, including preparation, validation and implementation.

Carry out system housekeeping to ensure accurate, consistent and reliable data.

Process Improvement & Automation

Work with stakeholders across the business to understand processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.

Assist in designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Excel, Power Query, Sharepoint

Help streamline manual or repetitive tasks through automation and improved system design.

Support the investigation and adoption of new tools and features within Microsoft 365.

Systems Development Support

Work alongside the Systems Developer on ongoing and future projects, providing data preparation, testing and configuration support.

Assist with report development and data gathering for operational and management reporting.

Help document systems, processes and procedures to improve knowledge sharing and consistency.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Prepare and manipulate data using Excel and Business Central to support reporting and analysis.

Run manual and automated reports to support operational decision-making.

Identify trends, errors or inefficiencies in data and propose corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement

Proactively identify admin or process-related errors and suggest preventative solutions.

Contribute ideas for improving system usage, efficiency and data visibility across departments.

Support exploration of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, where they can add business value.

Key Skills & Attributes

Essential

* Strong analytical mindset with a genuine interest in using technology to solve business problems.
* Experience or exposure to Microsoft 365 applications such as Power Platform, Power BI, Power Query and jet reports.
* High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
* Confidence working with Excel (including formulas and data manipulation).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently on defined projects while collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Desirable

* Interest in automation or digital process improvement.
* Experience or exposure to Microsoft Business Central
* Basic understanding of data structures, logic or programming concepts.
* Experience working with business systems or ERP platforms.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £30,373.00 per year
