Electrical Service EngineerAutomated Packaging & Battery-Powered EquipmentAn ever-growing automated packaging engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to support the development, installation, maintenance and continuous improvement of a wide range of automated and battery-powered packaging equipment.This is a hands-on, technically varied role offering exposure to end-of-line packaging machinery, electrical systems, product development activities and electromechanical fault-finding within a fast-paced engineering environment.The Role as an Electrical Service Engineer:Develop, install, maintain and service electrical systems on automated packaging machineryFault-find, repair and commission battery-powered equipment and end-of-line packaging machineryDiagnose electrical and electromechanical faults, including basic circuit board diagnosticsStrip down machinery, identify root causes, and carry out effective repairsWork closely with design, innovation and production teams to:Test prototypesValidate performanceSupport manufacturing readinessSupport customer trials, provide on-site or remote technical assistance, and feedback into product developmentProduce and maintain technical documentation, test reports and service recordsContribute to continuous product improvement initiativesEnsure all work is completed in line with Machine Directive standards and relevant safety regulationsAbout You as an Electrical Service Engineer:You’ll bring as an Electrical Engineering professional:Degree or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline)Strong experience (5 years) within electrical or electronic product development, manufacturing, or service engineering environmentsProven experience supporting products from concept through to production and operational useStrong understanding of machinery and electromechanical systemsConfident fault-finding skills with a practical, hands-on mindsetExcellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and support customer-facing activitiesA proactive, self-starting approach with strong attention to detailWhy Join?You’ll be joining a dynamic, people-first engineering business where innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement are actively encouraged.
