Overview
The Tameside & Glossop District Nursing Service are currently looking to recruit a Band 5 Community Staff Nurse. Our service works across the 5 neighbourhoods of Tameside. You will be allocated a team base upon appointment and will have the support of our induction facilitator alongside a designated 'buddy'. Newly qualified applicants will undertake a preceptorship programme. The role may require you to work across the localities as a service need requirement.
Main duties
The post holder will work within a Multi-Disciplinary Team in the Community and after induction will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs and development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, both for a specific group of clients as the named care provider and in supporting the care of all client groups within the community. As an experienced nurse you will coordinate the case load in the absence of the team/senior lead, ensuring effective communication and providing support for junior staff. You will play a key role in the supervision and assessment of pre and post basic learners and unregistered staff, providing a teaching role and acting as named supervisor.
