Job Description
To carry out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner, maintaining documentation of all works in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures.
The role involves working to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at our client’s premises.
Responsibilities include:
* Monitoring and counting van stock to ensure sufficient supplies for daily maintenance.
* Performing inspections and monitoring the safety of repaired and maintained trucks.
* Completing job sheets, timesheets, purchase requisitions, and parts paperwork accurately within required timescales.
* Taking responsibility for equipment and tools (including van, laptop, tablet) ensuring they are in safe condition for the work undertaken.
* Working to strict schedules and deadlines.
Candidate requirements:
* Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred, with willingness to undertake additional training.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills.
* High standards of work and adherence to timescales.
Person Specification
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Proficient in fault finding and repair.
* GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths.
* Experience with Health & Safety in a workshop environment.
* Commitment to personal and professional development.
* Excellent organizational skills, resourcefulness, and solution-driven mindset.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads under pressure.
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
* Flexibility and resilience to meet diverse needs.
* Motivated, positive, and proactive attitude.
* Experience in forklift truck service environment is advantageous but not essential.
Additional Information
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 16:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
