Overview
Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer in Derby are looking for a Special Process Quality Engineer on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of heat treatments and/or NDT with knowledge of quality processes.

Monday to Thursday 07.00 to 16.00 or 08:00 to 17:00, Friday 07.00 – 12.00
Job Description
* Manage the NDT/heat treatment processes and calibration
* Maintain and improve quality systems to meet AS9100, ISO14001, NADCAP and customer requirements
* Drive continuous improvement and zero-defect culture through audits, KPIs, Walk the Floor routines, and lean initiatives
* Support manufacturing and NPI by identifying, resolving, and preventing quality issues using robust control tools (PFMEA, PPAP)
* Collaborate with and develop teams to achieve quality, cost and delivery
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Strong experience of heat treatments and/or NDT – FPI/DPI
* Knowledge/experience with auditing
