Overview
RPS are seeking an experienced CCTV Survey Crew Leader to lead a 2-3 person team, carrying out CCTV surveys of the sewer network for our clients across the UK. The salary for this role is a minimum £29,000 negotiable depending on experience. Overtime rates and benefits are available. Previous experience in a related role is essential, as is a current OS19X Sewer Condition Classification qualification.
About The Team: The RPS Asset, Surveying, and Inspection (AS&I) team provides industry leading services to the UK Water Industry and our employees are involved in services supporting Water Networks, Drainage, Surveying, Leakage Consultancy, Water Resources and Efficiency. The team analyse complex data and provide pragmatic solutions to reduce water leakage and prevent flooding and pollution in local communities.
Our Wastewater Operations teams are a collection of 3-person site survey crews that support the regional water companies by gathering data from both above and below-ground wastewater assets, including reservoirs, dams, highways, and water treatment plants.
Responsibilities
* Lead a 2-3 person crew to operate state-of-the-art CCTV survey equipment and survey the sewer network to identify defects and provide data to clients.
* Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements (OS19X Sewer Condition Classification qualification is essential).
* Work in confined spaces and on highways; ideally hold Confined Spaces Certificate and NRSWA Signing, Lighting & Guarding qualification.
* Maintain excellent customer service in a customer-facing role; demonstrate strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
* Operate outdoors in all weather conditions, with manual handling of manhole chamber covers and other heavy items; flexibility with working hours, including occasional Saturdays and overtime.
Skills, Knowledge, And Experience
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to complete paperwork accurately and annotate plans.
* Experience in a drainage-related role with the ability to navigate the drainage network using GIS mapping.
* Detailed knowledge of public sewer networks and domestic drainage systems.
* Excellent problem-solving and accurate record-keeping capabilities.
* Demonstrable reliability and flexibility; CCTV experience is essential.
Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence.
* OS19X is essential.
Health And Safety
* Moving heavy items including inspection chamber covers.
* Working in all weather conditions; night work may be required.
* May work in confined spaces and on highways.
* Mandatory drugs and alcohol tests and a DBS check.
