You will be expected to assume full managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Manager and ensure the nursery maintains the highest standards of care, compliance, and learning outcomes.In addition to deputy duties, you will take on the responsibility of *Nursery Room Leader*, managing a specific room within the setting. This includes leading a team of practitioners, ensuring outstanding practice, and creating a warm, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment for the children in your care.You will also play a key role in *building and maintaining a positive team culture*, supporting and inspiring your colleagues to work together effectively, share best practices, and continuously improve.*Key Responsibilities** Support the Nursery Manager in the effective running of the nursery.* Lead by example to ensure high-quality care and early education is delivered.* Take ownership of one of the nursery rooms as Room Leader, planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.* Foster a strong sense of *teamwork and collaboration* across the setting.* Mentor and support room staff with their development and practice.* Ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and followed.* Build strong relationships with children, parents, and the team.* Support the nursery's compliance with OFSTED, health and safety, safeguarding, and all relevant legislation.* Step into the role of Manager when required, including attending meetings, handling queries, and supporting operational decisions.*Requirements** A full and relevant Level 3 qualification as outlined by the Children’s Workforce Development Council.* Enhanced DBS Disclosure with the child workforce sector.* Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in an early years setting.* Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or management position.* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.* Excellent communication, *team leadership*, and organisational skills.* A genuine passion for early years education and working as part of a supportive, close-knit team.*Benefits** Free BUPA well-being programme* Paid day off on your birthday* Full training provided* Free childcare* Exciting company eventsJob Type: Full-timePay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Additional leave* Casual dress* Childcare* Company events* Employee discount* Health & wellbeing programmeExperience:* Nursery: 3 years (required)* Management: 1 year (required)Work Location: In person
