Actio Recruitment are assisting a well-established precision engineering business based in Livingston who are seeking an experienced Offline CNC Programmer to join its growing team. This is a key role within a high-accuracy environment, supporting the manufacture of complex components for demanding sectors.
Role Overview: You’ll be responsible for creating offline CNC programmes using Edgecam, working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure optimal machining strategies and efficient workflow. The role offers flexibility across a 4 or 5-day working week, with salary negotiable based on experience and capability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and optimise CNC programs offline using Edgecam
* Interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
* Liaise with machinists and production staff to ensure programme accuracy and efficiency
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across tooling and machining processes
* Maintain documentation and revision control for all programmes
Requirements:
* Proven experience in offline CNC programming, ideally within precision engineering
* Strong proficiency with Edgecam software
* Solid understanding of machining principles
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
* Methodical, detail-oriented approach with good communication skills
