Job Title: Manufacturing Service Technician – Electronic Controls & Instrumentation
Working Pattern: 37 Hour Week Rotating shifts including night shift work
Working location: 5 days onsite – Raynesway (Derby)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Service Technician to join Rolls-Royce within Raynesway Manufacturing Services.
Working within Electrical controls and Instrumentation, you will be responsible for the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance and planned calibration of electronic control systems and instrumentation, installed on manufacturing assets including but not limited to CNC machines, Chemical Process Plants, Welding Assets, and Heat Treatment Assets.
You will be required to deliver reactive corrective maintenance, limiting the impact of fault conditions on production operations.

What you will be doing:
You will perform routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities across a broad range of manufacturing assets and equipment, ensuring safety, availability, and capability for use when required.
* Utilize problem-solving skills to identify and implement corrective maintenance, driving fault recovery to root cause.
* Interpret drawings and data to inform safe isolation and electrical fault finding.
* Collect, organize, and analyze data supporting Key Performance Indicators for the Manufacturing Services Department.
* Read and interpret Rolls-Royce calibration procedures to validate instrumentation and ensure product quality.
* Read and interpret machinery and plant drawings, electrical schematics, manuals, and catalogs to support maintenance activities.
* Identify and recommend improvements to electrical and calibration procedures, researching and implementing these improvements.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant Electrotechnical trade, or a time-served advanced modern apprenticeship.
* Current BS7671 Certificate (18th Edition), and preferably, CompEx certification (Ex01 – 04).
* A good understanding of electrical installations and maintenance operations.
* Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Experience in fault finding on PLC and machine control systems, with Siemens training considered advantageous.
