Backed by respected venture capital partners, the business has grown organically and through key international partnerships. Following a recent brand refresh and strong commercial performance, they’re investing further in their marketing leadership to drive impact across both internal culture and external positioning. The business operates from four UK hubs, with marketing leadership primarily based out of their Leicester hub, offering hybrid flexibility depending on team and project needs. This role combines strategic oversight with the opportunity to be hands-on in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. The Opportunity for the Head of Marketing & Communications: This newly created role reports directly to board level and will be instrumental in shaping the marketing roadmap. You’ll lead a mix of full-time and fractional talent across geographies, develop integrated campaigns to support business development, and refine internal communication practices to strengthen alignment across the organisation. This is a permanent, full-time role with a hybrid working model and the option to work from any of the four UK hubs. Key Responsibilities for the Head of Marketing & Communications: Build and lead the strategic marketing and communications function across multiple markets and business units. Manage and coordinate a distributed team (in-house and fractional), ensuring best-in-class marketing execution. Deliver compelling campaigns that support commercial growth and strengthen brand visibility across key verticals. Develop a clear internal communications strategy to enhance employee engagement and cultural alignment across geographies. Oversee the application of a refreshed brand identity across digital, print, and internal platforms. Use insight and data to report on campaign performance, customer engagement, and channel effectiveness to senior stakeholders. Work collaboratively with cross-functional leadership (sales, operations, people) to embed marketing into core business decision-making. Manage agency partnerships and technology vendors, ensuring effective ROI and alignment with marketing goals. What You’ll Need to Succeed as Head of Marketing & Communications: Strong leadership experience in marketing, ideally in a scale-up or fast-growing SME environment. Proven track record in B2B or B2B2C marketing roles with a blend of strategic and hands-on delivery experience. Excellent communication skills with experience in both internal and external comms across multiple teams or markets. A commercially minded approach, capable of aligning marketing activity with business development and revenue goals. Experience managing remote or multi-site teams and coordinating across time zones or territories. Data-driven mindset with a solid grasp of campaign performance tracking and marketing analytics. Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with availability to be in the Leicester hub 2–3 days per week, and flexibility to visit other hubs when needed.
