An Exciting Opportunity has arisen at The Bentley Hotel for a Commis Chef.
Chef wanted for small team function and daily service cooking, responsibilities will include general prep and kitchen maintenance for daily services for an average of 40+ covers as well as functions of up to 200. Skills required but are not limited to, basic knife skill and care, intimate knowledge of cooking techniques and be able to work as part of a team or independently as the business requires. The kitchen is open for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner meaning shifts will be generally 8 hours a 40 hour a week contract.
* Preparing food for a whole host of dishes – following specifications to ensure your Head Chef and Sous Chef can quickly send out meals to a high standard Supporting everyone in the kitchen to ensure no corners are cut (or chopped)
* Ensuring Chefs stations are well stocked with anything they may need throughout service
* Ensuring the kitchen and work stations are kept clean and tidy to enable the delivery of an outstanding service
* Ensuring you and your team deliver high standards of food and health and safety regulations – it's not just our customers we want to make smile What'll make you a great fit for this Commis Chef role
* Where you've worked doesn't matter as long as you have experience as a Line Chef, Cook or Prep Cook and are used to working in a fast-paced environment
* You'll have basic food hygiene
* A great understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
* Flexible and able to remain focused on results under pressure and to challenging deadlines
