The successful candidate will carry out a variety of production and cleaning jobs within the manufacturing facility including machine operation, product packing, machine cleaning and cleaning duties across the wider facility.
The Role:
1. Comply with Quality policy concerning Hygiene and Good Manufacturing practice (GMP), with timely completion of all food safety & quality record/equipment checks;
2. Maintain a clean working environment by cleaning as you go and ensure that the Line is free from rubbish for the next production day;
3. Running of the packing machines and assisting in production when and where directed;
4. Carry out a Line changeover when instructed to do so by your Production Team Leader / Miller;
5. Operate machinery safely and effectively;
6. Ensure quick preparation for production and secure all required materials to support the Production Line.
The Person:
7. Previous production experience in a high-volume food processing environment;
8. Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision;
9. A high standard of spoken and written English.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
10. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate;
11. Working knowledge of health and safety legislation;
12. Lean Manufacturing experience;
13. Reach truck/counterbalance forklift licence.
Normal working pattern is Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6.00pm to 6.00am.
