Job Description
The Disrepair Paralegal will be:
3. Handling an active caseload of housing disrepair matters (pre‑ and post‑litigation)
4. Drafting witness statements, interlocutory applications and preparation of court bundles
5. Liaising with internal colleagues, client departments, opponent solicitors and counsel
6. Representing the organisation in court and tribunal hearings as required
7. Supporting the Legal Services team in ensuring compliance with legislation, identifying risks and implementing controls
8. Keeping up‑to‑date knowledge of housing law, regulation, guidance and organisational policies
9. Collaborating with internal teams to provide clear, timely advice and deliver seamless service to customers
10. Contributing to value for money, efficiency improvements and continuous process improvement
11. Adhering to Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity and company policies in all work
The Successful Applicant
The Disrepair Paralegal should be:
12. A paralegal with demonstrable experience in housing disrepair cases
13. Educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant training/experience
14. Skilled at drafting legal documentation and working independently on caseloads
15. Experienced in liaison with internal stakeholders and external counsel/solicitors
16. Strong in legal research, risk‑identification and case progression with an eye for detail

18. Hybrid working: based predominantly in Liverpool with travel to St Helens & Warrington; team days Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in the Liverpool office
