Newhaven, East Sussex (BN9) £29,000 – £34,000 per annum (depending on experience) Full-time | 37 hours per week | Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Premises Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety and security of a busy school site in Newhaven. This is a hands-on role where you will play a vital part in ensuring a safe, clean and well-maintained environment for students, staff and visitors.
You will act as the key contact for contractors and suppliers, manage site operations, and take responsibility for the premises during lettings and school events.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is: Experienced in caretaking, facilities or maintenance roles Practical, hands-on and able to carry out general repairs Highly organised, proactive and able to manage workloads independently Confident communicating with contractors and stakeholders A strong understanding of health & safety and safeguarding

Working Pattern
This role involves a split shift pattern to cover opening and closing of the site:
* Morning: 7:00am – 10:30am

Flexibility is required, including occasional out-of-hours work. Annual leave is typically taken during school closure periods.
