About us:
We are a newly established, nurturing 2-bedroom children's home located in the Liverpool 13 area. Our mission is to provide a safe, stable, and caring environment for children aged 7-16 with emotional and behavioural needs. With a focus on trauma informed care, therapeutic support and, and consistent routines. We aim to help children heal, grow and reach their full potential.
Role:
As a Residential support worker (RSW) you will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day care, safety, and wellbeing of the young people in the home. This is a fulfilling role that has a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
· Build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.
· Support with daily routines, including meals, school runs, appointments and activities.
· Manage and respond to challenging behaviour using a therapeutic approach.
· Keep accurate records, reports, and risk assessments.
· Support key work sessions and contribute to care planning.
· Promote safeguarding and work in line with relevant policies and procedures.
Essential:
Must have at least 1 years' experience of working with children and young people (In care, school, or similar setting)
Must have some knowledge of child development and children and families
Be reliable, resilient and a team player
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be willing to work shifts, including weekends and sleep ins.
Must pass an enhanced DBS check.
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – or willingness to work towards it
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Full UK driving license
