What do you get if you cross an award-winning, innovative water company and over 300 dedicated team members? Our Design team, of course!
Our ambitious and innovative projects (all 5000+ of them) help to combat the challenges of waste and water infrastructure, flooding, and water quality. Being part of our in-house designers means we can do the best by our customers and our water.
If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.
Within our Capital Design and Delivery department, we are looking for a Consultant Manager to join our Waste Infrastructure Design team based in Finham.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
An amazing opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to be responsible for the delivery of the Waste Networks design programme, coordinating experts to develop the Service Orders, managing and delivering these Service Orders for Feasibility, Outline, and Detail Design schemes.
You will play a key role in leading and managing the external consultant design teams to meet project and programme requirements on time, within cost, and to agreed quality standards. You will work closely with a Senior Consultant Manager who will support your growth in the water sector, delivery, and contract management.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Ideally, you will be either degree-qualified in a technical engineering discipline or a qualified Project Manager with the APM (Association of Project Managers) or working towards completing these achievements. You will be a forward-thinking and innovative project manager capable of managing multiple capital engineering and construction works.
With attention to detail, proactive problem solving, and effective communication, you enable good project monitoring and control, taking pride in your work and being adaptable to improve project performance.
You will have experience managing NEC suite projects, with a proven track record of scope management including change control, schedule, and risk management.
You will be a dynamic and collaborative leader with excellent communication and influencing skills. You will have a strong ability to build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds, and hold the ability for strategic thinking which leads to relentless drive for continuous improvement, set standards, innovate, and pragmatically overcome challenges.
We value character, positivity, and a caring attitude in equal weight as the right skill sets and experience.
We want people who show up and roll their sleeves up. Restless spirits who are ready to be part of something bigger, who care, who really care... because when you really care, you don’t just talk about it, you create.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences, and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do.
And when it comes to inclusion, we’re making sure we keep up the progress with our wonderful working groups – LGBTQ+, Women in Operations & STEM, Disability and Ethnicity, who help us do just that.
