The Role Develop our new nursery - build and shape the provision working towards an opening date in the Autumn term. Build and nurture a strong team - actively recruit, develop, and empower staff to reach their full potential. Establish a high-quality provision - provide a safe, stimulating and caring child-centred environment that caters for children’s educational and developmental needs. Nursery management - manage the smooth running of the nursery, ensuring all legislation and standards are met. Skills and Qualifications Level 3 Early Years qualification GCSE English and Maths (grade 4/C or above) Previous nursery management experience Demonstrable experience of leading a team effectively Excellent knowledge of Development Matters and the EYFS and Ofsted standards Knowledge of how to effectively plan and assess in the Early Years Knowledge of budget management Strong leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate a team Proven skills in the organisation and management of financial, physical and human resources Excellent interpersonal skills, articulate with the ability to interact at the highest level with staff, children, current and prospective parents as well as other stakeholders Ability to work calmly under pressure and to adapt quickly to changing circumstances/situations Ability to effectively operate a full range of ICT equipment and other resources Can plan, organise and delegate effectively Desire to enhance and develop skills and knowledge through CPD Commitment to the school’s ethos, aims and community Benefits The wellbeing of all our colleagues really matters to us.
