We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Business Partner to join our growing consultancy in the utilities sector. You will play a critical role in partnering with business leaders to deliver people initiatives that support both immediate priorities and long-term growth.
As the HRBP, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide expert advice on people strategy, employee relations, organisational design, and workforce planning. You will act as a trusted partner, ensuring that the HR function drives value while supporting wider business transformation and cultural development.
This role requires a mix of strategic input and hands-on delivery, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment and wants to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with business leaders to deliver HR solutions that align with organisational strategy and growth.
* Provide advice and guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organisational design.
* Support the delivery of a
HR transformation programme
, embedding new systems, policies, and ways of working.
* Lead on talent management initiatives, including succession planning, leadership development, and career pathways.
* Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across the business.
* Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing coaching and guidance to enable effective people management.
* Collaborate with the wider HR team to design and deliver key people initiatives, policies, and engagement strategies.
* Ensure compliance with UK employment law, HR best practice, and internal policies.
* Support change management initiatives, enabling teams and leaders to adapt to organisational growth.
About You
* Proven experience in a HR Business Partner role (or similar senior HR generalist position) within a fast-paced environment.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Experience supporting transformation, cultural change, and organisational design initiatives.
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with credibility to partner with senior leaders.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
* Ability to thrive in a growing, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
* Resilient, proactive, and collaborative, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Professional HR qualification (CIPD Level 5 or above) desirable.
* Experience in consultancy, professional services, or utilities/infrastructure industries advantageous.
