Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our Corby site.
The purpose of Assistant Management Accountant is to assist in accurate management and related accounting functions. Responsible for undertaking a number of weekly and monthly reporting tasks.
As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the overall success of the site, and will report directly to the Management Accountant.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, offering a competitive salary and package with a forward thinking market leader.
Job responsibilities of Assistant Management Accountant include:
1. Assist with preparing accurate weekly customer Variance Analysis reports
2. Help ensure all costs are accurately captured and recharged to customers
3. Consolidation of operational activity and KPI reporting into weekly customer packs
4. Maintaining weekly and monthly invoicing schedules
5. Support with debtor control through timely invoicing and liaising with customer contacts
6. Assisting the Management Accountant with producing month end accounts packs
7. Support with maintaining the accruals and prepayments schedules on the balance sheet
8. Ensuring all costs and recharges are accurately allocated to each customer to support with illustrating profitability by customer
9. Support with comprehensive payroll reconciliations to ensure weekly calculations are accurate
10. Reporting on discretionary spend to maximise profitability
11. Assisting Procurement Team with raising of purchase orders
12. To support in maintaining a complete and visible audit trail for all costs incurred at the site
Qualifications
To apply for the role of Assistant Management Accountant you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
13. Minimum of 12 months experience of working in a financial reporting role
14. Strong Excel skills, experience of working with lookup/SUMIF functions
15. Strong numerical and written skills
16. Excellent organisational, administration and planning skills combined with the ability to multi-task and prioritise as required
17. Working towards financial qualification - AAT/ACCA/CIMA etc (desirable)
18. Experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (desirable
