Role Overview
As a Principal Software Engineer at Aparito, you will be a hands-on technologist working across all parts of the Atom5 platform. You will work in an agile manner, developing features as per sprint priority plans and helping to increase overall team velocity. You will be part of a collaborative team, sharing and reviewing ideas, mentoring and guiding team members through technology architecture and implementation details.
Key Responsibilities
* Be responsible for all aspects of projects across the full lifecycle, including: scoping, technology selection, architecture design, engineering processes, quality and testing
* Ensure security and quality documentation is up to date with company and regulatory standards
* Keep up to date with the evolving industry, embracing new languages and frameworks, containers and cloud, and continuously learning
* Be inquisitive and curious, exploring the inner workings of the tools and libraries you use to understand how they work
Essential Skills
* Demonstrable understanding of best practices in software engineering
* Provide technical leadership and guidance to software development teams while ensuring best practices, code quality standards, and technical excellence through mentoring, code reviews, and hands-on development support
* Good communication skills demonstrating process and progress to stakeholders and internal teams
* Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (Java or JavaScript/TypeScript) with willingness to learn new languages and technologies
* Experience or familiarity with core platform frameworks and libraries: Spring Boot, ReactJS, React Native, Docker
* Familiarity with Linux environment
* Enjoy participating in the full lifecycle of the software product: idea and design, implementation, to operational considerations
* Write clean code, take pride in your work, and value simplicity, testing and productivity, while prioritizing user experience and security
