Job description
We are looking for hard-working and enthusiastic individuals to join our clients busy assembly shop in Stourport-on-Severn. The role involves assembling high-quality furniture destined for schools and universities across the UK.
About the Role
You will be part of a skilled team working across two main departments within furniture assembly.
Building - Preparation including inserting cams and dowels into components ready for assembly. Assembling prepped components into finished carcasses, including wardrobes, desks, lockers, and beds.
Second Fix - fitting doors, drawers, hinges, locks, and runners to complete each unit. This requires a high level or attention to detail.
What we're looking for -
1. A positive attitude and strong work ethic
2. Proven experience in flat-pack assembly and preferably woodwork/joinery
3. Attention to detail - some roles can involve assembling small lock, hinges etc.
4. Ability to read paperwork and dimensions accurately
5. Competent use of a tape measure and other measuring tools
6. Physical fitness - comfortable lifting and handling large panels
7. A team player who can work across different stations and tasks
8. Able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining extremely high standards
Hours: 8am - 4:30pm
Pay: £12.21 per hour (rising after 12 weeks)
Location: Stourport (Must have transport)
