We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team In The Highlander, Fort William. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience, driving sales, and maintaining an inviting store environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
* Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products.
* Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using the till system.
* Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure the store is well-presented.
* Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and organising displays.
* Upsell products by effectively communicating their benefits to customers.
* Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within the working day.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sales floor and stockroom.
* Adhere to phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries over the phone.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in retail or sales is advantageous but not essential.
* Bilingual or multilingual proficiency, particularly in English and Spanish, is preferred.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
* Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
* Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
