About the Role:
* Providing 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil who is able to access the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum.
* Offering general classroom support across the Year 6 class to enhance learning and engagement.
* Supporting some behavioural challenges with a patient and consistent approach.
* Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team.
* Role is linked to a pupil with a pending EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
Hours & Contract:
* Part-time: 9am-12pm, Monday to Friday.
* Term-time only.
* Long-term position, with the possibility of extension.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have prior experience supporting children in Key Stage 2, ideally with additional needs or behavioural challenges.
* Be adaptable and able to balance 1:1 support with wider whole-class assistance.
* Be patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships.
* Work well as part of a team, but also show initiative.
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service.
