Robert Half are recruiting for an experienced Interim Payroll Manager to join a well-established organisation based in West Wiltshire. This is a hands-on interim assignment, working 37.5 hours per week, supporting a large and complex payroll function. Temporary ongoing 37.5 hours per week Salary equivalent: £53,000 - £63,000 Free onsite parking West Wiltshire location The role You will take full responsibility for the accurate and timely delivery of monthly payroll for a workforce of 1,000 employees, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strong stakeholder communication throughout. Key responsibilities Process and validate monthly payroll for 1,000 employees across multiple contract types Identify, review, and validate payroll output reports with extensive data checking to ensure accuracy Manage all aspects of the company pension scheme, including auto-enrolment and maintaining up-to-date scheme information Liaise with actuaries, Pension Scheme Trustees, and third-party stakeholders Keep up to date with legislative changes and new payroll initiatives Maintain and enhance payroll reporting, including overtime analysis and payroll reconciliations About you Proven experience managing payroll in a large, complex environment Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and pensions Highly detail-oriented with a rigorous approach to data validation Confident liaising with senior stakeholders and external parties Able to work onsite 4 days per week If you're an experienced Payroll Manager available for an interim assignment and enjoy working in a hands-on, high-volume environment, then please call 01793 571 900 and ask for Thamina.
