Role: Embedded Software Verification and Validation Engineer
Location: Bristol / Hybrid (typically 4 days per week on-site)
Salary: Up to £64,000 - Depending on Experience

We are supporting a prominent defence organisation in identifying an experienced Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer to join their real-time embedded software department. You will play a critical role in qualifying components for some of the world's most sophisticated defence platforms, working within a high‑stakes, technically complex engineering environment.
This position demands a robust background in the full software engineering lifecycle and a disciplined approach to safety and quality.
Key responsibilities:
* Translating complex technical requirements into structured, robust test cases.
* Developing and executing comprehensive test procedures for embedded software.
* Capturing high‑fidelity test data and delivering actionable insights to development teams.
* Working within laboratory environments on electro‑mechanical products.
* Collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure compliance.
Candidate profile:
* Strong experience in V&V activities within an embedded software environment.
* Proficient in embedded software development using Ada.
* Proven capability to manage the full software lifecycle.
* Adept at practical problem‑solving and data acquisition in laboratory settings.
