The Digital Content & Storytelling Specialist will produce and manage engaging content that communicates our work and impact across various digital platforms. They will bridge data science and digital communication, showcasing our data and products effectively.
Responsibilities
1. Content Creation & Storytelling
o Create clear, engaging content translating complex data into accessible narratives.
o Develop blogs, articles, whitepapers, reports, and case studies with experts.
o Position Smart Data Foundry as an industry leader through thought-leadership content.
o Write compelling copy for social media, newsletters, and marketing campaigns.
o Create visual assets (infographics, videos) using tools like Canva.
2. Content Distribution
o Plan and publish content across digital channels, including website, blog, LinkedIn, Bluesky, and email.
o Work with marketing to identify content opportunities.
o Tailor content for each platform and optimize engagement.
o Implement A/B testing for messaging and formats to improve performance.
o Monitor and report on content performance.
3. Brand & Message Consistency
o Maintain consistent brand voice, tone, and visual identity.
o Ensure content accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
4. Collaboration & Internal Communication
o Work with data science and marketing teams to craft stories from insights.
o Coordinate with design and communications teams for campaign alignment.
o Support content strategy development and execution.
o Contribute to content calendars and campaign planning.
5. Audience Engagement & Growth
o Refine content strategy based on digital trends and audience insights.
o Test new content formats like videos and interactive graphics.
6. SEO & Accessibility
o Apply SEO best practices for discoverability.
o Ensure content meets accessibility standards.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in content creation, storytelling, or digital marketing, preferably in tech or data-driven environments.
* Strong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
* Ability to interpret and communicate data narratively.
* Understanding of analytics, data science, and target markets including financial services, public sector, NGOs, and government.
* Experience managing social media channels and SEO optimization.
* Basic design or video editing skills.
* Proficiency with tools like Canva, HubSpot, CMS, and familiarity with data visualization tools.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
* Comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
