A Painter/Decorator in HMP in Shropshire
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00; Friday to Sunday 08:00 - 16:00 There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).

What you will do:
1. Planned and reactive paint work in all areas of the prison.
2. Responsibility for the care and maintenance of tools, materials and additional company property.
3. Compliance with relevant company Health & Safety Policy, instructions and directive.
What you will bring:
4. Comfortable working alongside prisoners.
5. Good awareness and understanding of personal health and safety, method statements and risk assessments.
6. Sharing best practice with others.
7. NVQ level 3 in Painting and Decorating, however we will consider applications if you have NVQ level 2.
8. Previous relevant work-related experience.
