Electrical Panel Design Engineer Location: Neath, South Wales Full-Time | Permanent Department: Design & Systems – Manufacturing About the Role As an Electrical Panel Design Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our design and manufacturing process—creating bespoke control panel solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. From concept to commissioning, you’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and workshop teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective designs. Key Responsibilities Design detailed schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical. Select and specify components such as PLCs, HMIs, VSDs, relays, and sensors. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety codes, and regulations. Collaborate with engineers to integrate control panels into larger systems. Support manufacturing and commissioning processes, including troubleshooting. Assist with project estimations, quotations, and technical documentation. Conduct design reviews and validation tests to ensure reliability and accuracy. What We’re Looking For Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred). Proven experience in LV switchboard and MCC design. Strong background in control panel design within industrial or manufacturing settings. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and knowledge of electrical standards. Knowledge of protection relay panels is a plus.
