Job Title: Business Management Teacher

Job Description
ILC is seeking a dynamic and qualified Business Management Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to teenage learners. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in Business Management and a passion for teaching. Coursebooks and teaching materials are provided to support lesson planning and delivery.
Main Duties
* Teach Business Management classes to teenage learners, including general business topics, exam preparation (e.g. BTEC, A-Level), and one-to-one tuition as required.
* Deliver student-focused, communicative lessons that encourage participation and critical thinking.
* Monitor student progress, correct work as appropriate, and set and mark homework regularly.
* Understand and work towards the objectives of the course syllabus.
* Complete all teaching-related administration in a timely and thorough manner, including registers, class records, progress tracking, timesheets, and academic reports.
General Duties
* Adhere to ILC policies and procedures as outlined in staff handbooks.
* Contribute to a positive learning environment.
* Cover for absent colleagues when required and liaise effectively when sharing or handing over classes.
* Participate in staff meetings, training, and CPD sessions.
* Welcome new and trial students into the class.
* Administer regular assessments and placement tests as needed.
* Report academic, welfare, or safeguarding concerns to the DOS.
* Attend mandatory Fire, Health & Safety training.
Classroom Management
* Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
* Adapt teaching to suit varied student backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles.
* Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
* Present subject matter confidently and clearly.
* Support students in developing analytical and written skills in business contexts.
* Encourage independent learning and critical thinking.

* Maintain professional conduct, punctuality, and presentation.
* Build positive working relationships with colleagues and support staff.
* Be open to feedback and willing to learn new teaching approaches.
* Contribute to the Centre's development and reputation.
* Manage classroom pressures with good judgement and professionalism.
* Use IT effectively, including interactive whiteboards and online resources.
* Support newer teachers with integration and guidance where appropriate.

Requirements
* BA (Hons) or higher in Business Management or a closely related subject (required)
* Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (required)
* Enhanced DBS check (required)
