Head of Technology – Transformational Change | Budget & People Leadership | Agile & Waterfall
Are you a strategic, forward-thinking technology leader ready to drive large-scale transformation? We’re looking for a Head of Technology to shape technology vision, lead high-performing teams, and deliver major change programmes.
As the Head of Technology, you will own the end-to-end technology roadmap, ensuring platforms, products, and processes support both current and future business needs. You’ll be responsible for shaping technology strategy, overseeing budgets, and leading multi‑disciplinary teams across a mix of waterfall and agile delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and execution of the organisation’s technology strategy and roadmap.
* Manage budgets, ensuring spend is optimised and aligned to strategic objectives.
* Provide inspirational leadership to technology teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
* Oversee delivery of complex programmes using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
* Drive transformational change across systems, processes, and ways of working.
* Partner with senior leadership to ensure technology supports organisational priorities and long‑term goals.
* Build strong relationships with third‑party suppliers, ensuring value for money and excellent service delivery.
About You
* Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role (Head of Technology, IT Director, or similar).
* Strong people leadership skills with a track record of building, mentoring, and motivating high‑performing teams.
* Extensive experience managing large budgets and making data‑driven investment decisions.
* Hands‑on experience with agile and waterfall delivery models and when to apply each.
* Demonstrated success driving organisational and technology transformation.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence at Executive and Board level.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to turn vision into actionable delivery.
