Your new job role will be working for a public sector organisation based in Liverpool, dedicated to research and teaching in tropical medicine.
Your new role
Facilities Management
* Ensuring the facility is well maintained and high standards of service are delivered by the in-house maintenance team and external contractors.
* Organising reactive maintenance and repairs of HVAC, autoclaves, and specialist systems.
* Maintaining and repairing en-suite bathrooms, sinks, and plumbed facilities.
* Conducting planned preventive maintenance, inspections, and testing of facilities, plant, equipment, and systems.
* Coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and staff, managing quotations, and obtaining approvals.
* Supporting administrative tasks like updating spreadsheets and managing space information on CAFM system.
Security and Fire Marshall
* Managing door access systems, audit, and maintaining access card database.
* Training and oversight of security contractors and fire marshalls.
* Assisting in fire risk assessments, fire warden training, and emergency procedures.
* Managing security protocols including CCTV and alarm systems; knowledge of BMS, AutoCAD, and CAFM systems is preferred.
Cleaning, Decontamination, and Infection Control
* Monitoring cleaning quality through audits and liaising with housekeeping.
* Organising specialized cleaning and decontamination procedures, including use of hydrogen peroxide vapour generators.
Inspection and Audit
* Supporting estate condition audits, monitoring, and reporting.
General Responsibilities
* Promoting equality and inclusive practice.
* Performing other duties as assigned, including being an 'On Call' Engineer.
* Administrative duties and supporting team supervision.
* Participating in staff development and training.
Qualifications and Skills Needed
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
* NEBOSH Certificate (General or Fire).
* Fire Warden training, valid First Aid, Customer Care training.
* SIA CCTV Licence, Fire Risk Assessor qualification.
* Mechanical HNC or equivalent.
