Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis.
Duties include;
1. Process end-to-end payroll (weekly, fortnightly, and monthly), ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
2. Input and maintain payroll data including starters, leavers, salary changes, and employee details
3. Calculate and administer statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP and handle PAYE, NI deductions
4. Prepare and submit payroll reports including FPS/EPS, P45s, P60s, and year-end returns
5. Manage pension contributions and auto-enrolment in line with legislation
6. Reconcile payroll, including BACS payments, payroll journals, and PAYE liabilities
7. Handle payroll queries from employees, HMRC, and third parties, ensuring timely resolution
8. Ensure payrollpliance with UK legislation andpany policies
9. Process timesheets, overtime, expenses, and benefits in kind
10. Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits and reporting
You will have:
11. Previous payroll processing experience
12. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
13. Strong organisational and time management skills
14. Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure
15. Excellent numerical and analytical skills
16. Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRCpliance
17. Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
18. Excellentmunication and customer service skills
19. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
20. Team player with the ability to work independently
21. Adaptable and quick to learn new systems and processes
