We’re looking for a calm, compassionate, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
This is more than a job — it’s a chance to help students access learning in their own unique way, from sensory sessions to small victories that mean the world.
What you’ll be doing
1. Supporting pupils with complex physical and learning needs in a classroom setting
2. Assisting with personal care, mobility, and communication needs
3. Creating sensory-friendly learning spaces alongside experienced staff
4. Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support
5. Using assistive technology and communication aids to enhance engagement
What we’re looking for
6. Must have previous experience working with PMLD or complex needs
7. Confident supporting personal care and manual handling (training desirable)
8. A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
9. Someone who sees potential in every child, no matter how small the step
