This is an excellent opportunity to step into a commercially focused role at Management Accountant level. Your new role
Reporting to the Company Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and strong operational support. This is a hands-on position offering broad exposure across management accounting, costing, budgeting, and business partnering.Your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparation and timely delivery of monthly management accounts
2. Posting journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation
3. Balance sheet reconciliations
4. Supporting the preparation of Board Packs and commentary
5. Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
6. Detailed variance analysis against budget
7. Regular product costing updates
8. Product and customer profitability analysis
9. Reviewing promotional pricing and performance
10. Working with operational teams to understand cost drivers
11. KPI preparation and analysis
12. Month-end and year-end accounting processes
13. Supporting external audit
14. Developing and improving internal financial controls
15. Stock reporting, valuation and variance analysis
16. Maintaining part master data within the ERP system
17. Completing statutory returns (Intrastat, EC Sales, DETI, National Statistics)
18. Providing financial support to managers across the business
What you'll need to succeed
19. Newly qualified or part-qualified ACCA / CIMA
20. Experience preparing monthly accounts
21. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
22. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
23. Advanced Excel skills and strong IT proficiency
24. Experience within a manufacturing environment (advantageous)
25. Exposure to ERP systems, Power BI or AI tools (beneficial)
26. Highly organised with strong immunocompetent abilities
