Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at the Arundel House Hotel and Ashley Hotel to cover maternity leave. We offer our guests breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also cater for a number of functions on a weekly basis. As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their culinary skills.
Duties
* Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Support team management by collaborating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
* Engage in continuous learning to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food production techniques.
Requirements
* Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is preferred.
* Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
* Experience in food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
