Finance Officer Permanent and full or part-time Neath £30-40,000 per annum The role is hybrid; 2 or 3 days a week from home but with an office located on the outskirts of Neath. This role will see you working alongside 2 others to provide transactional finance and management accounting support to a group of companies.Key to this role is the ability to hit the ground and keep running; you must be dynamic and technically adept with a superb work ethic. I am looking for someone to take on the following: Payroll function: Paying about 120 payees (80 monthly and 30 weekly…. But it’s all annualised, so that simplifies things a little) and growing as they develop new facilities. Preparing and analysing financial statements Cost analysis (particularly in line with labour spend) Budget reporting Assisting with cash flow analysis Balance sheet reconciliation Transactional finance duties related to the supplier statements and purchase ledger function You will be playing a large part in the preparation of month end as well as providing commercial analysis to manage areas of the business going forward. I am ideally looking for someone with some robust understanding of the financial process, so ideally Part Qualified/ Finalist or a QBE with LOTS of experience of working as part of a finance team. You will need a good understanding of Accounting Software (ideally SAGE) and experience with Excel for complex spreadsheet management. This is not an entry-level role; I anticipate the successful candidate having at least 2 years' experience in an accounting environment. This role could work with slightly reduced hours… The standard is 37.5, across 5 days, but there is a good degree of flexibility; you could front load your week and finish early on a Friday, slightly reduce hours to part-time in order to better facilitate school pick-up or drop-offs…… or potentially work a 4-day week around other commitments.
