Senior Care Assistant Days

Location Glenholme Wendreth Court, March, Cambridgeshire, PE15 8QT

Shift Pattern 8 am to 8 pm

Hours 3 shifts per week, 36 hours including unpaid breaks, alternate weekends

Contract Type Permanent

Pay Rate
£13.25 per hour for those with NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care
£13.80 per hour for those with NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care

As a Senior Care Assistant you will play a key role in supporting residents to live fulfilling and meaningful lives while maintaining dignity independence and choice. You will also support the wider care team during your shift and help ensure high standards of care are maintained throughout the home.


What You Will Do as a Senior Care Assistant

• Support residents with personal care and daily living activities
• Promote independence choice and dignity for every resident
• Administer and manage medication in line with procedures
• Lead and support care staff during shifts
• Mentor and guide team members to ensure high standards of care
• Complete audits and assist with reviewing and updating care plans
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Communicate effectively with residents families and healthcare professionals
• Lead by example in delivering person centred care
• Support residents to participate in social activities and maintain a fulfilling lifestyle

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care. However applications from candidates with Level 2 qualifications will also be considered.

About Wendreth Court

Wendreth Court is Glenholme's purpose built residential care home located in the market town of March in Cambridgeshire. The home has been thoughtfully designed to provide high quality care in a modern comfortable and welcoming environment.

The service offers spacious living areas beautifully designed bedrooms and dedicated communal spaces that allow residents to relax socialise and take part in meaningful activities. The home also benefits from safe outdoor garden areas which encourage residents to enjoy fresh air and remain connected with the local community.

Wendreth Court focuses on delivering person centred care to older adults ensuring every individual receives support that respects their independence dignity and personal preferences.
