We are looking for a creative, driven, and strategic Social Media Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about food, culture, and digital marketing to help grow Afrikana Glasgow's online presence and build our brand.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute social media strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
* Plan and create engaging content, including photography, reels, and stories that reflect the Afrikana brand.
* Work closely with our marketing and operations team to align campaigns with promotions and events.
* Engage with our audience, respond to messages/comments, and build an active online community.
* Track and analyse performance metrics to drive growth and engagement.
* Stay up to date with social media trends to keep our content fresh and relevant.
* Coordinate and manage collaborations with influencers and local creators.
Requirements
* Proven experience managing social media accounts, preferably in the food, hospitality, or lifestyle industries.
* Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram trends.
* Basic photo and video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, or similar tools).
* Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
* A proactive, creative mindset with the ability to work independently.
* Passion for food, culture, and community engagement.
