About The Role
Balfour Beatty is seeking an experienced Foreman / Supervisor to join our Regional Civils team working on the Lodge Hill Highways Project in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of a high-profile highways scheme, supporting our commitment to operational excellence and right-first-time delivery.
You will be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating labour and plant, and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the required quality standards.
As a Foreman/Supervisor You Will
* Supervising day-to-day site operations and coordinating direct labour and subcontractors
* Ensuring all works are carried out safely in line with Balfour Beatty procedures and statutory requirements
* Delivering works to programme while maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
* Briefing teams through toolbox talks, daily briefings and task briefings
* Monitoring progress, identifying issues and escalating where required
* Ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements
* Supporting the Site Manager with planning, reporting and site documentation
* Promoting a positive safety culture and leading by example on site.
You Will Have The Following
* Proven experience as a Foreman or Supervisor on highways or civil engineering projects
* Strong knowledge of safe systems of work and construction best practice
* The ability to lead, motivate and manage site teams effectively
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Relevant SMSTS or SSSTS certification (or willingness to obtain)
* CSCS card (Supervisor level or above)
